El Patron Mexican Food Restaurant at 2555 Lake Avenue, Altadena, California.

This is a great local spot you could miss it if you didn't know it was there. It's a small intimate setting. The food was delicious, it was definitely fresh. The margarita was so good. I definitely recommend this place for quality Mexican food. The staff were helpful and attentive, overall great service.

Great family owned place in Altadena. The food is good, and tastes home cooked. There is usually a line out the door of hungry locals. If you're in the Dena, it's a good spot for sit down or takeout.

To start, our table was cleaned off by a dirty rag. The smell permeated for a good 5 minutes. I should have looked at that as an omen. The shredded beef in my enchilada was inedible. It was so tough and chewy I couldn't even chew it and swallow. I literally had to spit it out into my napkin. I was so excited to try this place, because there are not very many eateries in Altadena, but I will not return. The service was sub-par. We were not even asked how our food was. The server chose to chat with her friends at a table, she was actually sitting down with them and ignoring everyone else. Such a shame.
